Over the past few decades, advancement in technology has been exponential and that resulted in an overwhelming increase in the use of technology in our daily lives that be professional or even private lives. The correlation between technology and society has flourished to an extent that it will not be very harsh to say that our societies are being shaped up by technology in the modern era. On Saturday, 18th September 2023, a seminar was organized by The Centre of Excellence in Advanced Studies (CAS) at its main campus under the title “Technology and Businesses”. The underlying idea for the seminar was to give our students a chance to explore how technology is evolving our business world. We were privileged to have Ms. Sadia Shakoor, Supply Chain Controller, from Nestle Pakistan as our guest speaker. She gave an interactive insight into how the business world is making use of technology to transform businesses around the globe. Students, faculty, and other guests asked her relative questions to make the most of her presence among us. She quoted real-life examples from Nestle and other businesses where technology is being used in the best possible way to place businesses strategically above the rest in very competitive markets of the modern age. Her session was very informative not only for students but also for faculty and other guests. After the presentation from our guest speaker, Ms. Sadia mingled up with students for discussions and some photo sessions.
