The HND Computing course is open to all those who have a passion for the way computer systems work and view the world. HND Computing provides aspiring programmers with a comprehensive grounding in computer science and software development. Programmers need to understand principles that apply to all programming languages. This program provides a technical foundation into software development, computer hardware and networking.
CAS has devised and formulated the course structure of HND Computing, which is a 2 years program in four semesters keeping in view the overall program requirements, pre-requisites and is different specialisation routes as below:
Grading
Learners will be awarded a Pass, Merit or Distinction qualification grade depending on the points gained through the successful achievement of individual units.
Unit Points per credit: (P) Pass: 4 (M) Merit: 6 (D) Distinction: 8
Points range Grade: (P) Pass: 420-599
(M) Merit: 600-839

HN Global is an exciting new online platform created by Pearson for BTEC Higher National students around the world. Created in parallel with the development of the new BTEC Higher National qualifications, HN Global houses a great number of resources for students to get the most out of their BTEC Higher National experience.

With HN Global, students can get access to 2 key sections: (there are total of 5 sections)
Core textbooks – These textbooks provide students with key resources to develop their knowledge and understanding of the core units of their BTEC Higher National qualification. They contain selections from market leading textbooks that are used on Higher Education programmes worldwide, specifically chosen to cover the learning outcomes of students core units.
